Delivering festive magic for hospital staff and patients

This Christmas, your remarkable support is helping deliver gifts, treats and messages to the patients and staff at Guy’s and St Thomas’.

With your support, staff at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity and the Trust have been bringing seasonal wishes to the wards, with carol services and festive celebrations.

Staff will be delivering up to 2,000 presents to patients across the hospital sites. On Christmas day, patients in hospital will receive a gift, alongside a special Christmas lunch. On top of this, any patients who receive a community visit in Lambeth and Southwark on 25 December will also be given a present.

We’re also supporting initiatives to celebrate our exceptional NHS staff in the lead up to Christmas. Festive treats will be delivered to wards, and on Christmas Day staff will receive a free Christmas meal.

“Christmas is one of those times of year that inspires reflection… It is a season to be jolly and showcase our labour of love, a feast that is shared with colleagues and our NHS community.”

Brenda Agbonavbare, deputy retail catering manager

NHS staff are also invited to join colleagues for festive wellbeing walks to help lift spirits. These walks are part of the ‘Showing we care about you’ programme at Guy’s and St Thomas’, one of the most comprehensive health and wellbeing programmes in the NHS, supported by Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity.

When you make a donation this Christmas, you can leave a thank you message for our NHS staff. These messages are on display on baubles around the hospital, helping to lift staff spirits and show your appreciation for the amazing work our hospital staff do every day.

Share some love this Christmas and donate today.
