Please enter how much your idea could cost. This can be an estimate. You’ll be asked to be more specific on costs if your idea progresses to the next stage of our process.

The minimum you can apply for is £500. If you think your idea could cost under £500, please contact us and we can explore other options with you.

Remember – we can only fund items and projects that go and above what the NHS will provide.

• Building costs – costs that are related to construction, expansion, or renovation of Trust spaces
• Consumable / material costs – costs for things that are used up and need replacing. For example: food and drink, stationery, packaging costs. Costs for the production of materials. For example: leaflets, posters, booklets
• Equipment under £5,000 – this can be medical or non-medical equipment

Evaluation – you might want to consider including some costs to cover the evaluation of your idea. This can assess how well it went, and its impact. If you have any questions about this element, please contact us.

Staff costs – we cannot fund permanent roles which should be funded through GSTT centrally. We regularly fund staff costs related to the delivery of projects and programmes.

Other – if your expenditure doesn’t fit any of the above.

This can be an estimate. Your project length can include the time needed for any recruitment, procurement, or evaluation.

Our funding is for everyone at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. We are interested in knowing the background and banding of our applicants because we want to make our funding as equitable as possible across the Trust and its diverse staff and patients.

Sharing this information won’t influence the outcome of your idea, and those reviewing your idea won’t see it. You can also submit your idea without sharing this information with us. All ideas submitted to us will always be considered equally.
