Become a Charity Champion

The drive to go beyond fuels the team at Guy’s and St Thomas’. Why not use that energy to inspire others?

What is a Charity Champion?

Every team member across the hospital and community sites can help by spreading the word about Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity.

If you become a Charity Champion, you’ll be promoting the work we do, encouraging more supporters to get involved and helping bring brilliant ideas to life about how to advance exceptional healthcare for patients and families.

What’s involved?

Making the role of Charity Champion your own is easy, depending on what you’re interested in and how much time you have. Here’s a few suggestions:

  • be the go-to charity representative in your team, advising them where to find information on dealing with donations or access to funding, for example
  • helping promote the amazing work being done across the hospitals by finding case studies or quotes where charity funding has made a difference – these may be used in newspapers, magazines, radio and TV programmes
  • helping with onsite events, such as hospital tours for donors, or at fundraising events, including manning information stalls to promote the charity
  • spreading the word about fundraising challenges and events, and any successful charity-funded projects.

By signing up you’ll receive a monthly email packed with news and opportunities to get involved. Plus, you’ll be invited to join our Facebook Group – it’s a great way to get to know other Charity Champions and share inspiring stories.

Interested? Email CharityChampions@gstt.nhs.uk for more information. Please note, you need to be a Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust staff member to join the programme.

Once you sign up, you will receive an induction session and monthly emails with opportunities. You will also be invited to join our Facebook Group – it’s a great way to get to know the other Charity Champions and to share inspiring stories.
