Funding options available to staff at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust who have an innovative idea.
We have a strategic relationship with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and we make investments in projects that seek to transform services through innovation, and improve the health and wellbeing of patients at the trust.
Our Health Innovation Fund is our main funding scheme. We use this fund to bring to life ideas for transforming health and social care.
If you have an innovative idea for how radical change can improve the way services are delivered at Guy’s and St Thomas’, or that could improve the health and wellbeing of people in Lambeth and Southwark and those who use our healthcare facilities, we want to hear from you.
Reducing violence and educating in A&E
As part of our efforts to improve the healthcare environment in local hospitals, we have awarded almost £470,000 to a cutting-edge arts programme at St Thomas’ Hospital. Using tools including wall graphics, film and digital technology, the programme aims to demystify the department, help younger patients to avoid future admissions and build on research by the Design Council to reduce levels of aggression in A&E through better arts and design.
Our Guy's and St Thomas' Bright Ideas Fund supports staff with ideas, innovations or inventions with commercial potential.
If you work for King’s Health Partners or an affiliated organisation, and have an innovative technology that needs funding in order to develop and commercialise, we want to hear from you.
We recognise the vitally important role that research and development plays in improving the future delivery of healthcare.
To support research and development that will have an impact on health and healthcare in Lambeth and Southwark, we have invested in two dedicated research funding streams.
Our Individual Staff Award scheme helps fund Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust staff to gather knowledge and learn new skills that will improve their delivery of healthcare at the trust.
If you are looking for support to share best practice developed in Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, or to learn from other centres of excellence and bring that knowledge back into your workplace, we may be able to help.
Our Special Purpose Funds are created when funds are donated to us for a specific purpose. These could be funds donated to honour the care of a loved one on a ward, or to support a particular type of research.
We ensure that these generously donated funds are managed carefully and provide the maximum benefit for patients and staff.
Our Cancer Funds help pay for equipment, research and staff training that benefits cancer patients and their care.
If you are looking to improve cancer services in Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and have a funding need that isn’t covered by the usual NHS channels, speak to us.
Through our Evelina Children’s Fund we can pay for equipment, research, furnishings, refurbishment and staff training which can help ensure the very best care is provided to children.
The Evelina Children’s Fund is a special funding programme that is open only to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust departments providing care to children.
